4th of July Parade

Join the celebration! Sponsored by the Milton Firefighter’s Association, don’t miss the grand parade at 11am running from Herrick Ave to Bombardier Park West. The Troop is looking for participation from all of our proud and patriotic Scouts and Adult leaders. Express your devotion and vigorous support for our great nation!

Grand Isle Campout this weekend

The theme for this weekends campout is Cycling. There will be several different length bike rides available for all age levels. We plan to have a 10 mile and 25 mile ride. Those wishing to camp but not ride are welcome as well. Specific structure will be determined once we have confirmed the number of scouts and adults attending. Parents, adults and leaders that have met the Scouting America guidelines are welcome to come along.

Curtis Read Early Bird Ends May 1st

Troop 631 heads to Camp Buckskin at Curtis Read Scout Reservation for our 2025 resident summer camp experience. Located in the beautiful Lake George region of New York, Camp Read covers 1000 wooded acres in the 6 million-acre Adirondack Park. Scouts can earn over 50 merit badges offered in skilled trades, shooting sports, handicraft, scoutcraft, aquatics and ecology programs, Horsemanship merit badge and trail rides. Other programs include Project C.O.P.E., mountain biking trails, natural wet and dry caves, rock climbing (tower & natural cliffs), zip-lining w/ drop into the lake. Custom day trips and guided High Adventure treks available. Curtis Read offers a comprehensive First-Class Adventure (FCA Program) for new first-year boys. Scouts will be camping in canvas tents on platforms, close to program areas, the waterfront and shower houses. Three meals a day will be served family style in the Newton Dining Hall in the center of camp.

Camp Curtis Read Merit Badge Signup April 1

Starting on April 1, Troop leaders will be entering online, Merit Badge preferences for all registered Scouts going to Curtis Read Summer Camp. All Scouts going to summer camp must submit their camp merit badge schedules to Mr. Taylor by our March 19th meeting. If you have not submitted your $100.00 deposit for camp, please do so at this meeting. Scouts can earn over 50 merit badges offered in skilled trades, shooting sports, handicraft, scoutcraft, aquatics and ecology programs, horsemanship merit badge, climbing, and many others. Curtis Read offers a comprehensive First-Class Adventure (FCA Program) for new first-year boys. Please refer to the Curtis Read Scout Camp Leader or Parent Guide below for a complete list of Merit Badge options. Please forward any questions to the Summer Camp Leadership.
